Capo on 2, but leave the low E string open (so the capo only covers 5 strings). If you don't have a clip type capo, you can tune the low E down to D and then capo all strings, but it will sound a little strange. Ok, a little finger picking. This song sounds a lot better once you learn to emphasize (read: pick loudly) the bass notes. There are two parts that are semi-complex. Where the music goes from D to D/F# to G, Kristian is actually holding the D chord and using his thumb to fret the low E on the 2nd then the 3rd fret from the capo. As you play the D-D/F-G walkup, your chord shapes should change like this: E 0 2 3 A 0 x x D 0 to 0 to 0 G 2 2 0 B 3 3 3 E 2 2 3 A little hard if you aren't used to the thumb, but not hard after a little practice. The only other change is that he hammers on the bar on the opening Bm chord to get that sudden sound. Also when you are finger picking the D chord, make sure that you use the lowest E (which has become like a dropped D) to get that bassy sound. Intro is the same as the the verse. Bm A G Nothing has changed as far as you can tell A Bm A G You're still the same as you were before you fell A D D/F# G Couple more inches and you wouldn't be standing here A D D/F# G That car was twisted, turned up on its ear (Chorus) G A Nothing has changed D D/F# G As far as you can tell G A Must have brushed up against G A D An an-gel Must have brushed up against An an-gel Bm A G You remember the day you chose left instead of right you remember the day you chose to walk instead of fight A D D/F# G Couple more inches and you wouldn't be standing here A D D/F# G That car was twisted, turned up on its ear (Chorus) G A Well there were no trumpets D D/F# G No cold flashes of light Bm G But you still think its an accident D A you're sitting here tonight (Chorus) (Chorus)
